Recently, datapacks that slightly change the functionality of Armor Stands and Item frames in survival have become popular on servers such as Hermitcraft. One example of this type of datapack is the Armor Stand Book. This allows players to change the pose of armor stands and make them invisible, creating many new possibilities for building and decoration while still remaining, for the most part, essentially vanilla. The armor stand datapack is often coupled with an invisible item frame datapack. Together, these small changes allow for a massive increase in creative potential, enhancing the building process while making the server look nicer.
While server lag may be a concern with the increase in the number of entities, this should not be a problem as there are already many instances around the map of rooms with hundreds of item frames within a relatively small area, generally in storage rooms. Armor stands also do not face the same lag issues that something such as iron golems would, as they have no AI and they are not falling sand entities,
